Lupe is a rescue yorkie who is deaf and has seizures. She also is toothless, so her little tongue sticks out most of the time (although that’s not really a handicap-she inhales food like a vacuum.)

Lupe weighs around 12 pounds and is approximately 6 inches tall at her back. She will turn 12 this year. We adopted her from Underdog Rescue in Minneapolis, Minnesota when she was 8 years old. She had been used as a breeder dog in a puppy mill during those 8 years. She is very calm and incredibly mild-mannered. Her seizure medication makes her pretty sleepy, but she will always wake right up for food.
